Getting started

What Northstack gives you.

A starter for a subscription B2B product: the site that sells it, the workspace your customers use, and the API behind both.

Three apps, one repository

Northstack is three applications that run side by side:

  • website/: this public site (Next.js 16), on port 3030. Home, pricing, documentation, journal, changelog, contact and legal pages.
  • dashboard/: the signed-in product (Next.js 16), on port 3031. Sign-in, onboarding, the workspace, billing, settings, the AI assistant and the platform administration.
  • back-end/: the API (NestJS with TypeORM), on port 8000, under the /api prefix. SQLite by default, MySQL by configuration.

What is already wired

  • Accounts with sign-in, sign-up, password recovery and a three-step onboarding.
  • Workspaces with members, invitations, four roles and a permission matrix you can edit.
  • Subscription billing with plans, usage limits, invoices, Stripe Checkout and a simulator that needs no keys.
  • Projects with a task board, files and an activity log that records every change.
  • API keys with scopes, and versioned endpoints under /api/v1.
  • A workspace assistant that proposes changes and applies them only after you confirm.
  • A platform administration area for organizations, users, staff and revenue.

Languages and themes

Every screen ships in English and Arabic, with a right-to-left layout for Arabic, and in a light and a dark theme. Figures use Latin digits in both languages.
