Billing without surprises
4 min read
Make plan changes, limits and invoice states explicit.
Show the whole picture
A clear billing page shows the current plan, renewal date, usage and invoice history.
Each usage figure sits against its limit, so a team sees the next plan coming before it needs it.
Trust the provider, not the redirect
Wait for verified provider events before applying an upgrade. Never accept a browser redirect as proof of payment.
Northstack applies a plan only from a verified Stripe event, or from the session it reads back from Stripe itself. The simulator follows the same path, without keys.
A failed payment keeps the data
A failed payment shows a notice and starts a grace period. After it, the workspace stays readable and stops new billable work; nothing is ever deleted.
