Northstack 1.3: an assistant that asks first
3 min read
Task proposals you apply or dismiss, scoped API keys, and the platform's organizations.
Proposals, then changes
The workspace assistant now proposes changes instead of making them. Ask it to plan a launch and it answers with the tasks it would create. Nothing is added until you press Apply, and the API checks your permission again at that moment.
Keys with a scope
API keys carry scopes for projects and tasks, show their secret once, and store only its hash. The versioned endpoints under /api/v1 read them.
Organizations for the platform
Platform administrators get an organizations list with plan and status filters, a page for each organization, and suspension with a reason.
Upgrading
Read the changelog for every change, then follow the production checklist before you deploy.
More from the journal
One key, one job
Scoped API keys that show their secret once and never outlive their purpose.
Invitations that respect your seats
Pending invitations, seat limits and the moment someone accepts.
